Pre-pregnancy and Early Pregnancy Care
"Placing Emphasis on Quality of Life"

xxx
Human Foetus at 9 weeks

Although obstetrics is often associated with gynaecology, very few practitioners outside London offer obstetric care outside the NHS for logistic and indemnity reasons. However, your pregnancy can be managed in conjunction with the NHS doctors and midwives up to the 20th week. After this time, care and delivery is exclusively in the NHS.

Some couples need advice before conception because of pre-existing medical reasons such as diabetes, known genetic conditions which run in the family such as cystic fibrosis or poor outcome from a previous pregnancy.

We are able to advise on care, arrange any necessary blood tests and arrange all types of specialist scans with highly experienced obstetric colleagues. We will also arrange referral to any other specialist who may need to have an input into your care.
